Site Arch�ologique de Glanum (Ruins de Glanum) was a Gallo-Roman settlement during the final days of the Roman Empire. There are several historic monuments here including Arc Municipal, a triumphal arch dating back to the time of Julius Caesar. The arch, dating back to 20 B.C., is the oldest in Provence, and it is garlanded in sculptured fruits and flowers. Also located here is a cenotaph called the Mausol�e des Jules. It is the only monument of it's type, and was raised to honour the grandsons of Augustus. Also of interest are the remains of the streets and foundations of private residences, many of which date back to the first century. The remains from a second century Gallo-Greek town are also located here.
